1. About these terms

These terms apply to classes, private sessions, workshops, packages and other services provided by Vertical Muse at Studio EMJ. By booking a service or purchasing a package, you agree to these terms.

2. Bookings and payment

Bookings must be made through our online booking system unless otherwise agreed. Your place is confirmed once the booking and any required payment or package credit have been accepted. Prices are shown in pounds sterling.

3. Cancellations and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule online until 24 hours before the scheduled class start time. When an eligible package booking is cancelled in time, the credit will normally return to the original package and remains subject to that package's expiry date.

Within 24 hours, bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. The payment or package credit used for a late cancellation or no-show will normally be forfeited.

4. Arrival and warm-up

A place refused because of late arrival will be treated as a late cancellation. The payment or package credit will not normally be returned. Please allow extra time for travel and arrive early enough to change and be ready.

5. Changes or cancellations by Vertical Muse

Occasionally a class may need to change or be cancelled because of instructor illness, an emergency, unsafe conditions, venue issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will give as much notice as reasonably possible.

The advertised instructor may be replaced by another suitably qualified, certified and appropriately insured instructor. A change of instructor does not normally entitle a customer to a refund.

If Vertical Muse cancels a class without a suitable replacement, affected customers will be offered a returned package credit, transfer to another suitable session or refund of the amount paid for that class. We are not responsible for reasonable travel or incidental expenses resulting from a change or cancellation.

6. Packages and introductory offers

• Packages may only be used for included services and before their stated expiry date.
• They are personal to the purchaser and cannot be shared or transferred.
• They cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law or agreed by Vertical Muse.
• An eligible cancellation does not extend a package's expiry date.

The New Customer Intro Offer may only be purchased and used once per person. Duplicate or ineligible purchases may be cancelled.

7. Age requirements

Participants must be at least 16 years old. Customers aged 16 or 17 may be required to provide consent from a parent or legal guardian and follow additional safeguarding or insurance requirements.

8. Health and safe participation

Pole and aerial activities involve physical exertion, height, rotation and the possibility of falls, bruising or injury. You must complete the health and safety waiver accurately, tell us about relevant health matters, follow instructor guidance and participate in the warm-up and cool-down. Stop immediately and tell the instructor if you experience pain, dizziness, faintness or feel unable to continue safely.

You are responsible for deciding whether you are medically fit to participate. We may recommend advice from an appropriate healthcare professional. An instructor may adapt an activity or stop participation where continuing would reasonably be considered unsafe; this does not automatically create a right to a refund.

9. Clothing and belongings

Wear suitable clothing and follow class-specific guidance. Jewellery or items that could damage equipment or create a safety risk must be removed. Personal belongings remain your responsibility, except where loss or damage results from our negligence or liability cannot legally be excluded.

10. Respectful and inclusive classes

Vertical Muse welcomes people of all genders, backgrounds, body sizes and experience levels. Harassment, discrimination, dangerous behaviour, deliberate disruption or attending under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs will not be accepted. We may refuse or end participation where reasonably necessary to protect safety and wellbeing.

11. Photography and filming

We will only use identifiable photographs or recordings of you for promotional purposes where you have given separate permission. Consent is optional and may be withdrawn for future use by contacting us. Customers must not record another participant without that person's permission.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Participation carries inherent risks, and Vertical Muse is not responsible for injury or loss resulting solely from those inherent risks where reasonable care has been taken. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

13. Personal information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Health information is collected only where necessary to assess and support safe participation and is not used for unrelated marketing.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our services, systems or legal obligations change. The version in effect when you book or purchase will normally apply to that transaction.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause affects any mandatory consumer rights.
